New: Garfield Youth Mapping Event!

Volunteer Opportunity for Helping Youth in Community Mapping

With this, we are inviting you to come join us in our first community mapping project with the Boys and Girls Club of Garfield, NJ on December 30th between 12 and 4pm.

Five volunteers are needed to assist 10 high school students with locating, taking pictures of, and uploading information on Garfield community gardens and healthy food establishments located throughout the town.

This is a great opportunity to introduce these youths to the wide range of uses and skills of GIS and community mapping as well as community involvement and leadership in keeping with the mission of the Boys and Girls Club.
